Deadline Approaching: Submit Your Proposal

Hey Reader,

Grant money is on the table this week, so we are leading with the deadline that matters most.

Q4 project proposals close Thursday, Oct 8

Have a space project that needs funding? Q4 project proposals are open until end of day Thursday, October 8, with up to $2,125 per project.

To submit: start from the proposal template, put it in a Google Doc shared as "anyone with the link can view," then import it on the proposals page.

Your proposal will be reviewed by the Senate with time for revisions based on feedback before you pitch directly to the community. They decide which projects get funded and who joins our competitive cohort. You can go from idea to funded project in a matter of weeks.

Third Seat Election Q&A: candidates Moonshot and Anastasia Ad Astra are taking your questions. Go to onlinequestions.org, enter event code 11950, then submit and upvote the best questions.

Final call for community contributions: if you did independent, space-related work that advances the mission, submit it. Rewards are paid in USDC and vMOONEY, and Senators allocate by impact.

What Citizens are building recently:

  • Kyle Longarm is developing IVA suits.
  • Mexanauta appeared on TV Azteca.
  • Zen was on site at Starbase for the launch.
  • Astro.gio is building community in Quito.
  • I24 Class 5 trained in Houston.

Newest Citizens: welcome Dr. Alan Stern

Please welcome Dr. Alan Stern (#260): planetary scientist, principal investigator of NASA's New Horizons mission to Pluto, former head of NASA's Science Mission Directorate, and commercial astronaut. When leaders like Alan join MoonDAO, it shows where the space community is heading.

Spotlight: Mexanauta (#264). Space Ops Pro, STEM educator, founder of Mexanauta, Inspiration4 finalist, and 2026 NASA Analog Astronaut based in Brevard County, FL. Follow on X: @DavidFGuajardo.
