13 live space projects, one Demo Day

Hey Reader,

Big week: three new projects, Demo Day tomorrow, Q3 rewards paid out, and a MoonDAO election that closes soon.

Welcome to the Q4 cohort: 13 live projects

Congrats to the three newest projects approved for the Q4 cohort:

That brings MoonDAO to 13 live projects. Tune in tomorrow, Thursday, Nov 5 at 3 PM ET, for Project Demo Day at Town Hall. Hear from all 13 teams about what they are building and how you can get involved, and bring your questions to the live chat.

Q3 rewards are in

Q3 retroactive rewards have been delivered (over $2,300). USDC is in contributors’ wallets, and vMOONEY is ready to claim on your dashboard.

MoonDAO is a space program that pays independent contributors and builders. If you did space-related work that advances the mission, submit it so Senators can review it for the next reward cycle. The form takes about 5 minutes.

Executive Lead election closes Sunday

Voting is open for the third Executive Lead seat. Meet the candidates:

  • Trent "Moonshot" Tresch: over ten years in aerospace, from spacesuits to stratospheric balloons, and founding director of the University of Arizona’s Center for Human Space Exploration. His platform: make MoonDAO cash positive through a DAO-owned for-profit arm, technology development, and media and brand deals.
  • Anastasia Ad Astra: a member since MoonDAO’s early days with an organizing and space background. Her platform: win grants and outside funding for hardware projects, set up joint research with universities, and grow Citizenship through career benefits and partner networks.

It is a ranked-choice ballot weighted by vMOONEY, and it closes in a few days. The same page also has a separate confirmation vote for Pablo Moncada-Larrotiz’s second term.

Space Camp with Frank White: spots are filling up

Train with Frank White, who coined the Overview Effect, at Adult Space Camp in Huntsville, AL, Dec 4-6. You get the 3-day program, hotel lodging, and a Saturday dinner with Frank’s Overview Effect talk. There are only 16 spots. Price: 1,250 USDC for Citizens or 1,375 USDC for non-Citizens. Proceeds support Send Frank to Space and Space Camp USA.

Send Frank to Space update: $183,165 raised, 73% of the way to the $250K milestone with about $67K to go. Reaching it guarantees a second stratospheric seat so a member of our community can fly alongside Frank. Help send Frank to space!
