Documentary Movie Premiere!

Last weekend saw the premiere of the documentary Eiman Jahangir: Lift Off at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This mini documentary was filmed by Jerome Moore and highlights Eiman's spaceflight last year and his follow up visits to area schools to inspire the next generation to pursue their dreams.

This incredibly special evening had some of the MoonDAO crew in attendance and also included the unveiling of Eiman's flight suit as a new exhibition at the Adventure Science Center! Stay tuned for more details about how you can catch the full documentary.

In the meantime, check out some behind the scenes footage of the premiere, captured by MoonDAO Citizen Austin.

Executive Election Notice

MoonDAO’s Constitution sets a yearly cadence for Executive Lead elections. It’s that time again, and we’re opening nominations for a potential third Executive Lead.

  1. Nomination Period: Open now through September 30
  2. Any MoonDAO member may submit a nomination. Eligible candidates must be approved by the Senate before moving to a Member House vote.

If no candidates are nominated or approved, or if “none” is selected in the vote, the seat will remain vacant, also a valid outcome under our Constitution. This process ensures that leadership opportunities remain open while keeping flexibility for the DAO’s needs. Please see the Constitution for full details.

Open Vote: Save the Space Mice

Voting is open for another two days on MDP-191: ASRI Rodent Research-20, which requests $15,000 USDT to sustain a unique colony of mice descended from animals flown aboard the ISS.

The project lost NASA funding, and without immediate support the colony will be euthanized, along with the chance to study vital questions about mammalian reproduction and long-term health in space. Please review the proposal and cast your vote!

Brazil Mission Recap Live

Tomorrow, Thursday September 25th at 3pm Eastern, join us for a special MoonDAO Town Hall where we’ll share highlights from our 10-day journey across Brazil, plus an amazing opportunity for one MoonDAO Citizen.

With astronaut Dr. Eiman Jahangir and Russian cosmonaut Denis Matveev, we traveled through Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Natal, and Foz do Iguaçu to bring the spirit of space exploration to life. Along the way we:

  • Visited seven hospitals and homes for children with cancer, creating artwork that will fly to space.
  • Connected with students, professors, and researchers at schools, universities, and the Planetarium of Brasília.
  • Met with the Brazilian Space Agency and collaborated with Habitat Marte on analog space missions.
  • Painted an art rocket mural in Foz do Iguaçu and gathered the local space community for a beachside celebration in Rio.

This town hall will feature photos and videos from the trip, stories from the team, and time for your questions. And we'll have a special surprise about what comes next with one lucky winner...

If you missed last week's Town Hall with Chris Sembroski of Inspiration4, you missed a great one! But you can still catch the recording on YouTube or our other social channels.
