Want to See a Rocket Launch in Kazakhstan?
We're sending one lucky MoonDAO Citizen on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan this November:
- Witness a crewed Soyuz rocket launch
- Spend 5 days at the facility
- Exclusive tours + insider access
The rocket will even be decorated with artwork from Brazil’s cancer patients, building on MoonDAO’s Art Rocket Project with the Unity Foundation.
Want to go? Share your big idea where space meets social impact and international collaboration. See the full entry details at the link below.
Submission Deadline: October 2
We first shared this opportunity as part of last week's Town Hall and special report on the Brazil project. Check out the full presentation about this impactful project.
Upcoming Events
This week, we're excited to welcome back another special guest for a conversation on space architecture and expanding the human presence to the Moon.
Brent Sherwood is one of the leading voices in space architecture and human exploration. With more than three decades of experience at Boeing, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Blue Origin, Brent has shaped missions ranging from planetary exploration concepts to next-generation commercial space projects.
A longtime advocate for building sustainable cities on the Moon, he has authored over 50 papers on space development and co-edited the book Out of This World: The New Field of Space Architecture.
We’ll explore his vision for humanity’s future beyond Earth and the steps needed to make it real.

Open Vote
Voting is open for proposed changes to the Projects System (V8).
If approved, this proposal would:
- Add a deadline for project submissions for the third week of the quarter, establishing a seasonal governance cycle rather than rolling governance.
- MoonDAO will fund the top 50% of projects that are submitted that quarter and pass senate review, via weighted vMOONEY vote, or the top 4 proposals, whichever is more.
- Project budgets get subtracted from the retroactive rewards, and the rest is distributed via retroactives.
- Among other changes.

Space Mice Approved!
Last week, MoonDAO voters have voted in favor of MDP-191: ASRI Rodent Research-20 “Save the Space Mice”. This proposal will fund the Rodent Research-20’s mice colony for a period of three months (90 days) in order to buy the mice time while broader fundraising campaign preparation efforts are completed to find a long-term solution for the offspring of these space flown mice.
150 Citizens
The Space Acceleration Network hit a significant milestone this week with the registration of Citizen #150! We welcomed in another Citizen from Brazil, a country which continues to grow following the Art Rocket Project trip, and our very first Citizen in Nepal.
