Behind the Scenes: Space Camp

Mission Update: 71% Funded

We’re now 71% of the way toward our goal to sponsor training hardware at Space Camp USA in Huntsville, Alabama, with 35 amazing backers and just 9 days left to reach the finish line!

A huge thank you to our astronaut Dr. Eiman Jahangir, who personally matched $500 USD in contributions last week, doubling the impact of our community’s support. Eiman’s generosity and belief in this mission embody exactly what MoonDAO is all about: working together across borders to empower the next generation of explorers.

This is an all-or-nothing mission, we must hit the minimum goal for the mission to launch and be funded successfully. Every single contribution counts, whether it’s $5 or $50, and your support today can help push us over the line.

Let’s finish strong and show what a decentralized, global community can accomplish together.

Behind the Scenes: Space Camp

Join us today at 3pm Eastern for a special MoonDAO Town Hall, where we’ll get an exclusive look inside the Inspiration4 Training Center, the very facility our community is helping support through the current Space Camp USA fundraiser.

We’ll be joined by Emily Pietrzyk, Assistant Director of Donor and Alumni Relations at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Education Foundation. Emily has spent the past decade shaping Space Camp programs that inspire and train future generations of explorers. She’ll share how our campaign will make a real-world impact on the next wave of space education and access.

We’ll also have special guests, project updates, and one new project proposal from Frank White, MDP-200: Create the Plan for the Overview Effect Comparison Project (OECP).

This is a Town Hall you won’t want to miss! Come learn, connect, and see how we’re turning inspiration into action.

And speaking of Inspiration4, let's give a HUGE welcome to Chris Sembroski, the newest citizen of the Space Acceleration Network. It's kind of wild that four of our 159 Citizens have actually been in space (Chris, Sian, Amanda, Eiman)...

Two New Projects

Last week's two proposals were approved by voting members!

Congratulations to the project teams and project leads: Daniel with MDP-196 and Kara with MDP-197, who will both join the MoonDAO Senate to help guide governance decisions during Q4.
