As we close out 2025, we want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. We have spent the last twelve months building the infrastructure required to systematically convert community passion into a platform for humanity’s future in space.
We recently held a special Town Hall dedicated to this MoonDAO Wrapped 2025 session, where we walked through these milestones in detail. You can watch the 2025 Year in Review here.
As our founder Pablo noted: “2025 was a pivotal year. We took the components we’ve been building for a long time and really grew them with the community.”
The architecture is becoming more complete. Here is the foundation we laid for our next phase of growth.
The Space Acceleration Network
We strategically focused on the scalable systems required to coordinate a global community and deploy capital with precision. We have evolved into a robust operational network powered by three interconnected pillars.
A Global Talent Network: We are focused on providing a seamless experience for every member of our network. Our community grew to 162 Citizens from over 30 countries this year, supported by:
- The Onboarding Stack: Frictionless social/email login with self-custodied wallets.
- Financial Rails: Integrated Coinbase on-ramps and a native MOONEY Uniswap portal, along with liquidity rewards.
- Contribution Protocol: A streamlined process to earn ETH and MOONEY for verified value creation.
Specialized Teams: We developed the infrastructure to onboard external organizations, from startups to non-profits, onto the platform. In 2025, we successfully onboarded 20 teams, ranging from non-profits, start-ups, and publicly traded companies, each operating with autonomous on-chain treasuries via Safe multi-sigs.
Governance Stack: We started migrating to a 100% in-house governance stack to ensure full protocol independence. This year, 23 proposals were successfully processed, supported by a total UI/UX overhaul and a new Dashboard for superior user experience.
Capital Deployment
Part of MoonDAO's ongoing operations is to deploy direct community-governed capital toward the frontier. In 2025, we sent a total of $184,000 to projects and contributors.
Over half of that was distributed by our retroactive rewards model which ensures accountability. By rewarding demonstrated impact rather than just promises, we align incentives across the entire ecosystem.
Some 2025 Project Highlights:
- MOONEY to the Moon: Successfully landed a physical wallet and bounty on the lunar surface early in the year.
- Art Rocket Brazil: An outreach project in collaboration with the Unity Foundation, sending artwork from cancer patients to space via a Soyuz rocket.
- Lunar Open Source Rover Standards: Establishing collaborative frameworks for the next generation of lunar hardware.
- Rodent Research-20: Granting vital support to ASRI and Kansas University for space biology research.
- World's Biggest Analog Scholarships: 10 scholarships to support participants in analog astronaut research at locations around the world.
The MoonDAO Launchpad
The MoonDAO Launchpad is a platform for space organizations to raise funds from a global community while generating recurring revenue for the DAO treasury.
Our proof-of-concept, the Inspiration4 Spacecamp Initiative, validated the model:
- Capital Raised: Over $10,000 in 30 days.
- Engagement: 50+ individual contributors.
- Industry Connection: This initiative strengthened our ties with Space Camp and the Inspiration4 group.
With this technical stack de-risked, we are on track for a bigger public launch of the MoonDAO Launchpad in Q1 2026.
IRL Events & Knowledge Inflow
Digital coordination is only half the battle; we also focused on building human connections through strategic global events.
- Starbase, Texas: Citizens gathered for a historic Starship booster catch to kick off 2025.
- ETHDenver: Established a major presence at the year’s largest Ethereum gathering.
- London, Sydney, and Buenos Aires: Representatives of MoonDAO were on hand at Sea & Space in London, IAC in Sydney, and DevConnect in Buenos Aires, building bridges with both astronauts and Web3 builders.
- Nashville Movie Premiere: Supporters were on the ground for the premiere of Eiman's documentary showcasing his spaceflight and subsequent community outreach.
- Art Rocket Project Brazil: A team of MoonDAO Citizens visited four cities in 10 days, reaching hundreds of cancer patients and hundreds of local students.
- Moscow and Baikonur: Citizens self-organized a meetup to celebrate the Art Rocket launch, and some were on hand for the launch in Kazakhstan too.
Beyond IRL events, we hosted dozens of virtual events with over 40 town halls and 20 high-level interviews with industry leaders like Andy Aldrin, Frank White, Chris Sembroski, Pete Worden, and many more.

2026 Trajectory
The systems are in place. The next phase is acceleration. Our primary goals for Q1 2026 include:
- Launch: Execute the public MoonDAO Launchpad rollout.
- Capitalize: Deploy the new Seasonal Cycle for project funding in Q1.
- Scale: Onboard more partners to the Space Acceleration Network.
