The Power of a Community That Builds

Space Camp Funds Delivered Onchain

We have officially sent $5,137 onchain to Space Camp USA through The Giving Block in support of the new Inspiration4 Training Center.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to our first Launchpad mission. More than fifty contributors from around the world helped make this possible, and this successful demonstration shows how our community can directly fund meaningful work in the space sector and sets an important precedent.

It proved that transparent, verifiable, community-driven funding can support real-world space initiatives. The result is a model we can scale to future projects and a growing toolkit for participatory space exploration.

We've got some exciting stuff cooking for our next Launchpad mission...

Town Hall Returns Tomorrow

MoonDAO Town Hall is back tomorrow at 3 p.m. Eastern. We will be reviewing two new proposals and sharing updates from our active project teams.

Agenda:

We will also hear roundtable updates from active projects, including:

Lunar Open-Source Rover Standard
This initiative is building the foundation for an open standard for lunar rovers. Phase 1 focuses on mapping existing standards and identifying rover builders to create a roadmap for a unified framework that reduces cost and complexity across the field.

Overview Effect Comparison Project
This project is developing the strategy, partnerships, and communications plan for a large-scale comparative study of the Overview Effect, scheduled to launch in early 2026.

Citizens Space Policy Initiative
A participatory policy-making effort that brings new audiences into the space sector by giving citizens a direct role in shaping space policy.

Accelerate MoonDAO Growth
A growth initiative targeting every stage of the community and contributor funnel, from awareness and onboarding to engagement and retention.

Executive Branch
Core operations focused on sustainable revenue, improvements to services, and operational efficiency across governance, incentives, and the MoonDAO platform.

ASRI Rodent Research-20: Save the Space Mice
A grassroots effort to preserve and advance a unique ISS research project on mammalian reproduction and genetics, after the original NASA program was defunded.

P.S. Got an awesome idea for a space related project and looking for funding? Share your idea in #Ideation on Discord and get the process ready for a Q1 project pitch to the community.

MoonDAO at the MS-28 Launch in Baikonur

The MS-28 Soyuz launched successfully one week ago, sending three cosmonauts and astronauts to the ISS, and MoonDAO was there in person. Three MoonDAO citizens traveled to Baikonur, Kazakhstan for the launch, including the winner of our community vote.

We are grateful to have Trent, Julio, and William representing the MoonDAO community on the ground for an event that highlights global collaboration and the human side of spaceflight.

The exterior of the rocket featured artwork created by children with cancer, including some from our recent Art Rocket Project in Brazil, all made possible through our partnership with the Unity Foundation.

Stay tuned for more media and updates from this mission, as participants are just now returning from abroad.
