Upcoming Moon Mission
MoonDAO, in collaboration with LifeShip, is thrilled to be aboard the Firefly Blue Ghost lunar lander set to launch from Kennedy Space Center this week and land in the Mare Crisium basin approximately 40 days later. While MoonDAO members' DNA will not be aboard this flight, as originally envisioned, we are still part of a golden Lunar Pyramid filled with plant seeds, global artwork and other artifacts from humanity which will serve as a time capsule and monument, including a digital copy of the MoonDAO Constitution and the private key to an Ethereum wallet.

Within that wallet will be an onchain lunar treasure chest containing tokens and NFTs from digital communities such as Mr. Miggles, Own the Doge, Mumu the Bull, Pudgy Penguins, DOMS, and ElonRWA.
This lunar wallet awaits future explorers who might recover the Pyramid and return it to Earth in order to unlock 90% of the bounty while setting aside 10% to help fund a future space mission and bigger monument on the Moon. This challenge pushes humanity to innovate, sparking a new type of race to the Moon while cementing memes as part of our multiplanetary legacy.
This is one small step for MoonDAO, one giant leap for memekind—uniting humor, culture, and exploration for years to come.
Project Rewards
As of MDP-154 the reward distribution process is now determined not by senate members, but by all citizens and voting members. We’re excited to announce that the first iteration of the new rewards cycle process starts today! This valuable feedback helps steer MoonDAO’s efforts and funds towards projects that most benefitted the community.
How to Participate
1) Review each final report submitted this quarter
2) Visit the rewards page to allocate rewards to each project Enter a percent of the rewards you believe each project deserves (totaling 100%) and click submit, it’s that easy!
The allocations period ends at 1AM UTC on Saturday the 18th!
Thank you to everyone who helped contribute to MoonDAO or advance our mission throughout the 4th quarter of 2024. We are now in the process the allocating ETH financial rewards and vMOONEY voting power to participants in a distributed gift giving circle. While the Q4 circle is closed, this should serve as a reminder to submit your contributions at any time throughout Q1 and share your non-project work and accomplishments, even if it’s not tied directly to MoonDAO. If it helps advance our mission and build our multiplanetary future, it counts!

MoonDAO at Starbase
The MoonDAO executive team is down at Starbase, Texas right now, awaiting the launch of the 7th integrated test flight of Starship, currently scheduled to take off on Wednesday the 15th. If you happen to be around for this much anticipated launch and catch attempt, don't hesitate to reach out to get together with the MoonDAO crew at Isla Blanca Park to watch another historic launch.
